Server Performance
Be ready to respond to business demands with the great energy efficiency and multitasking performance of Intel® processor-based servers. Quad-core processing plus advanced memory and I/O capabilities add up to powerful performance that keeps your business agile and productive. And the latest Intel processor-based servers unlock the full capability of 64-bit, multi-core processing.¹
With Intel processor-based servers you can take full advantage of Intel® Virtualization Technology² (Intel® VT) to increase performance while reducing your number of physical servers. You can also maximize the flexibility of your assets and get more from every system, all without costly datacenter expansion.
Mission-critical, revolutionary performance
Replace RISC at a fraction of the cost with performance-packed Intel® Itanium® processor-based servers, ideal for your data-intensive, highly available IT infrastructure. Providing mainframe-class reliability with revolutionary performance and scalability, these processors offer system configurations of as many as 512 processors and a full petabyte (1024TB) of RAM.
Multi-processor performance
Get responsive performance with servers based on Intel® Xeon® processor 7000 sequence for increased business responsiveness. With exceptional performance, energy efficiency, and reliability you can depend on, they're the best choice for virtualization² and business-critical applications.
Dual-processor performance

Select a server tuned to meet your most common IT requirements including high-performance and performance-per-watt with the Intel® Xeon® processor 5000 sequence. You'll also get the headroom you need to consolidate applications onto fewer systems using the proven virtualization solutions built into these processors.

Single-processor performance
The value-priced Intel® Xeon® processor 3000 sequence is ideal for a first, small business server.
¹ 64-bit computing on Intel® architecture requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, operating system, device drivers, and applications enabled for Intel® 64 architecture. Processors will not operate (including 32-bit operation) without an Intel 64 architecture-enabled BIOS. Performance will vary depending on your hardware and software configurations. Consult with your system vendor for more information.
² Intel® Virtualization Technology requires a computer system with an enabled Intel® processor, BIOS, virtual machine monitor (VMM) and, for some uses, certain platform software enabled for it. Functionality, performance or other benefits will vary depending on hardware and software configurations and may require a BIOS update. Software applications may not be compatible with all operating systems. Please check with your application vendor.
