Doug Busch is vice president and Chief Technology Officer in the Digital Health Group for Intel Corporation. He currently leads product development, directs all software and hardware engineering, and directs technical integration and operations activities.
In previous roles in the Digital Health Group, Busch was responsible for strategic planning, biomedical research, regulatory, and Health Care IT advocacy activities. Prior to the formation of the Digital Health Group, he served from 1999 to 2005 as the Chief Information Officer for Intel Corporation, with responsibility for all information systems supporting Intel's global business, manufacturing and engineering functions.
Busch joined Intel in 1987, and has held a variety of leadership positions in manufacturing, logistics, and information technology. He was appointed an Intel vice president in 1999 and elected corporate vice president in 2000. Prior to joining Intel, he led research and product development programs at Battelle Memorial Institute.
Busch received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University. He is a member of the board of directors of Blue Shield of California.
