The Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility is not a requirement for Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology.
If your platform supports Intel Hyper-Threading Technology, you do not need to install the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility in order to enable that support.
If your platform does not support Intel Hyper-Threading Technology, installing the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility will not add support for Intel Hyper-Threading Technology.
