While outside your home, with an Intel® Remote Wake Technology supported PC and enabled program installed, you can wake up your computer from any internet capable device (Mobile PC, MID-Mobile Internet Device and Smart Phones) to access photos, music, movies, and documents. Your computer can also wake up for backup or tune up services, as well as a variety of other uses.
Find Intel Remote Wake Technology applet in the Control Panel to make changes to its settings:
- On allows programs you select to wake your computer.
- Off blocks all programs from waking your computer.
You can also individually allow or block programs from waking your computer and view activity for programs that recently woke your computer. However, not all programs can use Intel Remote Wake Technology. Check your program’s documentation to determine if it supports Intel Remote Wake Technology.
Note: If you turn off Intel Remote Wake Technology, power settings are not reverted back to previous settings. To change your power settings, select the Power Options Control Panel.
