Diagnostic report

The following steps describe how to generate a report with the Intel® graphics driver's diagnostic utility and how to include this report when you send a Technical Support Email Form.

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select Properties.
  2. In some configurations, the Intel® Extreme Graphics or Intel® Graphics Technology tab appears in this window. If this tab does not display, select the Settings tab, click on the Advanced button and a window with one of the following tabs appears:

    If you have an Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver tab, follow these steps:
    1. Click on the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver tab.
    2. Click on the Graphics Properties... button.
    3. Click on the Information button at bottom left corner or on the button in the upper right corner of the window.
    4. Click the Save to file... button.
    5. Select a location and save the report by clicking Save.
    6. You should now have a window open showing the report.
    7. With your mouse, highlight the entire body of the text file.
    8. On the menu bar, click Edit, then Copy.
    9. Return to the email form in your web browser and click once in the field labeled A graphics diagnostic report can be pasted into the space below:
    10. On your web browser's menu bar, click Edit, then Paste.
    11. The diagnostic report should now appear in the form.

    If you have an Intel® Extreme Graphics tab, follow these steps:

    1. Click on the Intel® Extreme Graphics tab.
    2. Click on the Graphics Properties... button.
    3. Click on the Information tab.
    4. Click the View Report button.
    5. Click the Save as file... button.
    6. Select a location and save the report by clicking Save.
    7. You should now have a window open showing the report.
    8. With your mouse, highlight the entire body of the text file.
    9. On the menu bar, click Edit , then Copy.
    10. Return to the email form in your browser and click once in the field labeled A graphics diagnostic report can be pasted into the space below:.
    11. On your browser's menu bar, click Edit, then Paste.
    12. The diagnostic report should now appear in the form.

    If you have an Intel® Graphics Technology tab, follow these steps:

    1. Click on the Intel Graphics Technology tab.
    2. Click on the Graphics Properties... button.

      If you have the Information tab, follow these steps:
      1. Click on the Information tab.
      2. Click the View Report button.
      3. Click the Save as file... button.
      4. Select a location and save the report by clicking Save.
      5. You should now have a window open showing the report.
      6. With your mouse, highlight the entire body of the text file.
      7. On the menu bar, click Edit, and then Copy.
      8. Return to the email form in your browser and click once in the field labeled A graphics diagnostic report can be pasted into the space below:
      9. On your browser's menu bar, click Edit, and then Paste.
      10. The diagnostic report should now appear in the form.

      If you have the Advanced Diagnostics... button, follow these steps:

      1. Click on the Advanced Diagnostics... button.
      2. Select the Report tab.
      3. Make sure that Show Report After Generating is selected.
      4. Click the Generate... button.
      5. Select a location and save the report by clicking Save.
      6. If you selected the Show Report After Generating, you should now have a window open showing the report.
      7. With your mouse, highlight the entire body of the text file.
      8. On the menu bar, click Edit, then Copy.
      9. Return to the email form in your browser and click once in the field labeled A graphics diagnostic report can be pasted into the space below:.
      10. On your browser's menu bar, click Edit, then Paste.
      11. The diagnostic report should now appear in the form.

Note: If the Intel® Extreme Graphics tab, the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator tab, the Intel® Graphics Technology tab, or the Graphics Properties button is not shown, your computer may be using an out of date driver, a customized computer manufacturer driver, or may not use an Intel® graphics controller. Contact your computer manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer to obtain the latest graphics drivers for your computer.
